The Spanish newspaper “El Mundo” had an interview with Tina Turner, at the Armani Fashion Show, last week. The most interesting part of the interview refers to the possibility of a new world tour. Tina says that she has to decide quickly in this matter and that she would prefer the smaller venues. I don’t think she’s targeting Las Vegas shows, like many of the fans were assuming the last days, because, if she comes back, Tina will do it only to see her fans and not for the money (Vegas). Q: What’s your relationship with the designer? A: We’ve known each other for many years and we have a beautiful friendship, although it’s a distant relationship. He has invited me many times at his presentations from Paris and now I felt like it’s the right time to pay him a visit. Q: What Armani creations do you like ? A: My favourites are the short skirts, perfect for dancing, because I have a small torso and I’m feeling better in a short skirt. After decades of struggle with my body, I know in what clothes I feel good. Q: How do you like to dress ? A: I’m a public person and I get photographed all the time. For my acts, I like the clothes that are a little daring, I owe this to my audience. People with a young spirit, that never go old. The music has no age, it brings joy. When I sing I want my fans to see me full of energy, showing my legs, this is why I keep them pretty. But in everyday life, I wear very simple clothes, I prefer commodity over design. Q: Do you know that your fans miss you ? A: I know because I get comments through my fan clubs and through all the social networks. My agents tell me, because I think I’m a bit to old to surf the internet. I’m thinking about returning and doing a world tour, but I haven’t made a decision yet. Maybe it will be a tour in smaller venues, without big stadiums, equipment and exhausting production. I have to decide soon, because I have to speak with my dancers. Q: How do you feel right now ?
